Installation
To install Backdrop Generator, follow these steps:
- Open Blender.
- In the top bar, open the Edit menu.
- From there, open the Preferences window.
- On the left side of the Preferences window, choose the Add-ons tab.
- In the top right of the Preferences window, click the Install button.
- Browse to the Backdrop Generator zip file you downloaded.
- In the bottom right of the file browser, click Install Add-on.
- You should now see Backdrop Generator in the list of add-ons.
- Tick the box to the left of the add-on name to enable it.

User interface
The Backdrop Generator project features an intuitive user interface that allows users to effortlessly create and customize stunning backdrops within Blender. Here is a walkthrough of the user interface:

BDG Panel
Components:
- The panel begins with checkboxes for “Object” and “Platform”. You can select if the want a platform to showcase their model by using the “Platform” checkbox. Also in the same way, you can select whether you want to scatter objects around your scene or not using “Object” checkbox. If you deselect both the addon will generate a smooth background to you with preset lighting setup.

- Depending on the selections made, additional options will be displayed. For objects, users can specify the type of distribution, such as uniform or random. They can also define parameters like the number of objects, spread, rotation speed, and animation settings.


- If platforms are selected, users can adjust parameters such as radius, color, and rotation speed.
